Vertigo: Spinning out of Control
Vertigo is a condition that makes a person feel like they are spinning when its severs and slightly off kilter when its minor. Usually it is caused by an inner ear issue, but other times there is a hidden cause. Many people suffering with Vertigo have developed a brain processing issue. Vertigo caused by a brain processing issue means that the information coming in from the eyes, ears, and neck (because it has a system to keep your eyes level at all times) are not being synced properly in the brain. This condition can by many issues including; air travel, ear infections, minor/major head injury, neck injury, swimming, sinus infection, etc.
Chronic Vertigo cases need to have a unique test done by a trained physician that can evaluate this situation. The evaluation will check how well a person’s eyes, ears and neck coordinate the information that is being sent to the brain and pinpoint where the dysfunction is located. The best physicians to do this exam are those trained in Quantum Neurologist or Applied Kinesiologist. Once the cause for the issue is located there are treatments and exercises to correct it within several weeks.
Case: Kristin E. has been suffering from severe vertigo for 5++ years. whenever she would run outside. She had daily minor episode of vertigo if she moved her head to quickly or watched water moving. Her exam revealed that when she turned her head and looked down her brain did not receive enough sensory input. Her treatment consisted of coordinated eye and neck range of motion exercises will being stimulated with a low level laser. Amazingly, she reported several perfect days after her first treatment. She is expected to fully recover with several weeks.
