Live Longer with Healthy Living
Listen to your mom, “eat your vegetables and go outside and play”.
According to Hindustan Times, “Being overweight cuts life span by two months for every extra kilo we put on”
Exercise has been shown in other studies to make a person healthier and extend life. Exercise has been linked to: up to an 80% decrease in cancer, more vigor, decrease pain, and less depression.
Obesity has also been shown to shorten your life. Roughly every pound of obesity ( which is 20 lbs over your ideal medical weight) will take a year off your life. The last years of an obese person life will be filled with a higher chance of diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.
New research proves that healthy living will help you live longer and healthier. It should not be a shock that a lifetime of smoking will take 7 full years off your life. You should also expect that the last years of your life will be filled with doctors, medication, and pain.
According to a study, Dr Peter Joshi, Chancellor’s Fellow at the University of Edinburgh’s Usher Institute says that “Our study has estimated the causal effect of lifestyle choices. We found that, on average, smoking a pack a day reduces lifespan by seven years, whilst losing one kilogram of weight will increase your lifespan by two months.
